Blood Knot

The Blood Knot is used to join 2 lines of similar size together. Such as joining a Flouro-carbon leader to your fishing line.

  • Over the lap ends of the lines to be joined.
Twist one around the other 5 times. Bring the
end back between the 2 lines. Repeat with the
other line, wrapping in the opposite direction
the same number of turns and inserting it back
between the 2 lines from the other direction.

  • Slowly pull the lines in opposite directions. The
    turns will wrap and gather.

  • Pull knot together tightly and clip ends.
