Ellie's Red
I barely started fishing this year with my boyfriend. We usually go to Boca
Chica Beach 20 miles from Brownsville. We fish at the jetties or at the
mouth of the Rio Grande River. Last month we went to the mouth of the river
and were about 3 feet in the water near the shore. I was using a red and
white lure with 10 lbs. line. I do not have my own fishing rod so I was using
my boyfriend's custom made rod with a Shimono reel. I could not believe it
when I landed my biggest redfish till now. My boyfriend says that I am just
lucky to catch a fish mostly every time we go fishing and at times he doesn't
even get one.
Attached is the picture of my redfish. It measured 29 inches.
