 Texsun II Again

August 2001

Capt. Johnny Williams of the Texsun II took a boat load of us to an area about 50 miles South of Galveston Island. The first area we fished was near the V. A. Fogg. We were fishing Spanish Sardines fished at or near the bottom over a wreck and didn't catch very many Snapper. We then moved on to another area and the Snapper action really picked up. My daughter has been plagued with a bad case of tennis elbow that kicked in and she couldn't hardly hold on to her fishing pole (yes, she takes after her father) Dad had to actually hold on to her pole for her while she reeled in our biggest Snapper of the trip.

We ended our trip with 10 Snapper, not bad. Definitely had a few good fish fries and some wonderful memories.

This has started to become a yearly tradition that my wife has been the proud sponsor of. Fewer things in life are better than to spend a day fishing with your kids. As the commercial says - For everything else, there's MasterCard.
